playing on my iPod

I definitely consider myself a major audiophile. I love music in general, although as you'll probably come to realize, I'm more of a rock star wannabee than a crooner or rapper. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the pop or R&B track here and there. I love my house music as well.

Part of what to do with my blog is to share what I'm listening to right now. Sure, a lot of this stuff might not be new to people on the web or in other parts of the world. But here in Manila, where majority of the airplay is either local (and the local music scene has definitely grown up over the past decade that I've been "musically aware") or mainstream, I think my playlist has a few interesting artists and songs, here and there. There will probably be a definite rock feel to this whole segment, but I'll try to mix it up as best as I can.

-----------------

First up is a band from Florida called Mayday Parade. They're a rock band but they've got a bit of punk in them too. I love the sound and song writing has been pretty inspired. Their latest album was released back in 2007 called A Lesson in Romantics with Fearless Records. I recently heard of this label from trolling through MySpace and I have to say, they have some pretty interesting artists. My favorite track from the album is the melancholic and extremely emo "Miserable at Best". I love slow rock, so sue me!

Can't wait to catch their next album later this year under Atlantic Records.
